About Dr. Rana
I am a Family Physician with special interest in Integrative Medicine. I obtained an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2002 and my medical degree from McMaster University Medical School in 2006 .
I developed an interest in Integrative-Holistic Medicine within months of independent practice, realizing the limitations of the conventional medical system and seeking to heal my own ailments at the root. I passed the ABIHM exam in 2013, becoming only one of about a dozen doctors in Ontario to hold the certification. I sit at the intersection of conventional and complementary/alternative medicine, maintaining a spirit of consumer advocacy.
In 2017 I began service as an assessor and medical inspector for the Investigations team at the CPSO, helping the college maintain a high standard of care throughout the profession .
On a personal level I pursue the same personal development work I encourage in my patients. I maintain many interests outside medicine including spending time with my wife/children/dogs, horticulture, guitar playing and learning basic automotive repairs and service.
